A Brain Fart
YES A BRAIN FART, you know those random moments when you blank out and totally lose memory………. Well when I have an explosion of materials on my first floor and stare at a blank mold or canvas I do not know what to do. Here’s the thing, I don’t think. I just take what I have and just start tackling the canvas or mold with materials and as it develops, I then find tune what I see is being brought into Manifestation in the Material world. From the energy with in, where one takes a material with out thought and just puts it to paper, canvas, or what ever and just does. Spray foam is very much something sticky but fun, you never know where it will spread, the shapes that come out, and the pressure which you press can create all kinds of messes. Like Energy, go with the flow.
What I didn’t like about Art School, was how many people mimic other famous artists, sure using a paint stroke, or style is one thing, but are you reaching with in to do super creative fun pieces? When you get in tuned with in, to your heart and soul, anything is possible, its about trusting yourself. Sure Art College prepared me to learn the language, critiquing works in a way where no one is offended but lend a lens of perspective they may not have thought of whether it be in technique or materials. Sometimes creative blocks happen in ones own work, for myself, this technique of not thinking and just doing seems to have great results, maybe if your stuck you should try. Lastly, you do not need a degree to pick up a medium and have fun with it, the best way to go into your inner child to heal is play with crayons, color pencils, or go to a paint night. The Best part about what I do, is anyone can do it, its fun, messy, and people make scribbles work I promise.
