Back to Painting
Oil To Canvas, oh how I missed you….. I got a commission by a really good friend, who always helped me out as I guided them spiritually. They saw one of my paintings and asked to mute down some of the brighter colors and they wanted it to mess with their home decor. The Process was like picking up a bicycle that you haven’t been on in years. I fine tuned the tones and hues of colors to give a vibrant pop yet keep the flow moving with in the wide rectangular canvas. This brought me to a state of zen, a high meditative space when in the moment of applying paint to the canvas.
Although I am a abstract painter, the basis is metaphysical, the light spectrum hitting different forms of matter and the elements. I like to give a hypnotic vibe which directs your eyes in many different places all at once. This piece gives a frequency of calm, singing healing and flow. Its nice to take that ride on the bike again, so minimal but yet so large in scale.
Oil paint gives a blend and a flow from brush to canvas. I hope to explore more forms and use the brush stroke though more fine tuned to give something more life to a form. Really excited to do more commissions with oil painting and to explore different methods to push myself out side my comfort zone. Love pushing my limits though I have no expectations, going with the flow of nature
